Disney released information regarding the Fastpasses everyone has missed so much with news that they will not be returning…well not in the way they have been in the past. While this information may come as a bummer to many, those that used Maxpass at Disneyland love this idea. So what is this Disney Genie and how is it beneficial to you on your Disney vacation?
Signs are going up around Disney world as we speak! In order to understand all the details, Let’s break down what we know so far about Disney Genie–what is it and how it can benefit you
Disney Genie
**A free planning tool inside the My Disney experience app that can help plan out your day by you adding all the things you want to do!
Disney Genie Plus (The new “Fastpass”)
**Cost is $15 per person, per day for Disney World and $20 per person per day for Disneyland. This cost gives you access to more than 40 attractions that will allow you to enter the “Lightning Lane” for the attraction. You make one selection at a time throughout your day.
** With Genie plus you will be able to start making your ride selections at 7am for on site guests only
“Individual Attraction selections”
**In addition to Genie plus, you can also schedule a time to arrive at up to 2 attractions each day with the “Lightning Lane” entrance! Pricing for this option will vary based on date and attraction. I will bring you more info on this at a later date.
For all of us wanting Fastpasses to come back this is exciting news! These are excellent options for your trip if you choose. Standby lines will still be available if you choose not to use Genie Plus.
