Cabo is NOT what I expected. In October, I was invited to a training for AIC resorts in Los Cabos. The training was to introduce me to resorts in this destination as well as to learn why this destination is not for everyone and more importantly, who is the right client to vacation in this part of Mexico.
Cabo is located on the Southern most tip of Baja California. My first impressions during my 45 minute transfer from the airport to Hard Rock Resort Los Cabos was that it looked very desert like. Cactus was everywhere and the landscape was very sandy.

During my time in Cabo, I was scheduled to tour 2 resorts; Hard Rock Los Cabos and Nobu. I felt it was important to maximize my time there and so I decided to arrive a day early so I could spend a day touring 4 other resorts for my clients. The resorts I toured were Dreams, Breathless, La Blanc & Zoetry. Needless to say, I have a resort for every type of client that wants to visit Los Cabos. It was a tiring day but one I feel is important that I do for clients to best match them to the right resort.

In addition to resort tours, I had the opportunity to enjoy some time in downtown Cabo. One of the questions I get asked many times is, “Is it safe to venture into town?” Downtown Cabo is a beautiful town right on the Marina which was full of Fishing boats and fancy yachts. I spent an afternoon shopping and eating in Cabo and felt completely safe.

Excursions in Cabo are a must in my opinion. What you may not know is Cabo only has 12 swimmable beaches. Most resorts in Cabo are on the water but you absolutely cannot get in the water. There are always red flags up because the rip currents and the angry waves are not a place for swimmers.
We also had the opportunity to do a boat tour where we sailed out to the famous Arch. This was incredible not only to see the Arch but also to see the unforgettable Cabo sunset!

There are so many unique excursions in Cabo. Some of the most popular ones are Camel rides, Swimming with Whale Sharks, Sport fishing, golf, ATV tours, Ziplining and Whale watching.
So let’s get to the answer to the question…Is Cabo the destination for you?
With Cabo being such a unique destination I think it requires a unique traveler.
A travelers who’s top priority is not the ocean
A traveler who loves adventure & trying new adventures
A traveler who loves deep sea fishing
A traveler that just loves a great resort and pool
A traveler that doesn’t want to have to worry about having a rained out vacation (it only rains 4 days a year in Cabo!)
A traveler who is an avid golfer
SO, is Los Cabos right for you? I can help not only answer that question but also match you to the best resort for you and your traveling party. Is Cabo a destination that is a must do…ABSOLUTELY!
